Pretty Good but...

This app is beautiful and works very well! I am no master at chess, but I am confident that most players will find a difficulty level that will fit their mastery of the game.

While the game is perfect for solo or online playing, it is kind of awkward to use for playing against a friend on only one device. The screen goes black for a moment after a move then comes back to show the board from your opponents perspective. So basically you always have to turn your Ipad around, or play sitting side by side with your opponent..

It would be so much better if you could just leave your Ipad laying flat on the table (like a real chessboard) with only a soft tilting motion to change the point of view on the screen, or simply use a flat top/down view of the board and use the checkers style pieces instead.
