Bought the full game package. Worked for a while until all my game slots disappeared. What did I pay for then?

Enjoy playing the game but the in app purchases are not my thing. Could do without the buy me buy me offers.

Not too shabby.

This app is beautiful and works very well! I am no master at chess, but I am confident that most players will find a difficulty level that will fit their mastery of the game. While the game is perfect for solo or online playing, it is kind of awkward to use for playing against a friend on only one device. The screen goes black for a moment after a move then comes back to show the board from your opponents perspective. So basically you always have to turn your Ipad around, or play sitting side by side with your opponent.. It would be so much better if you could just leave your Ipad laying flat on the table (like a real chessboard) with only a soft tilting motion to change the point of view on the screen, or simply use a flat top/down view of the board and use the checkers style pieces instead.

Despite the clear focus of this app being to create a beautiful, refined chess game, and despite offering a long list of paid upgrades, including a $9.99 "Complete Game Pack", the developer appears to have chosen to continue to drive profit by interrupting the games elegance with cheesy ads. Despite most reviews taking issue with this, the developer has apparently chosen to fully ignore the concerns of paying customers, having just released an update that does not remove ads for those who have spent money on the game. Show the developer that this level of greed is not okay and do not download this app.

This is probably the most beautiful chess game in the app store. Music on point, board pieces on point, menu layout on point; awesome realistic feel to it. Love it. But id suggest you guys add a multiplayer mode that connescts with more people who play the game not just a persons game centre friends. And also ingame interactive smilies when two people are playing multiplayer if it happens. Im not big on the game centre thingy and dont have friends there. Just saying. :) and yes i love the tutotrials. For 10 buks i think the entire package is worth it.

The AI is very realistic the easier settings make human mistakes and harder difficulties set traps like real opponents love this app no complaints

If you enjoy chess and want stunning imagery, this is the game for you. I thoroughly enjoy the game and it provides the adequate challenges most chess lovers crave. No game is perfect but when considering whats on the market, it is one of three chess apps I use and I play this one the most. Give it a try. I think you will like it.

This game has great features. Wish there were more clock timing options. But the core game is outstanding.

I bought a theme pack but it never started to download. Waste of money.

Nice BGM and quality graphics, wish for other sets for use but I guess you gotta make ¥¥

After purchasing like others, pieces wont download. The game is good but until they fix the downloads dont waste your money.

I purchased the all in one pack and my pieces wont download very disappointing I want my money back

I purchased a complete bundle and it says 0% whenever I go to select them the new pieces I bought, absolutely no change happens no matter how long I wait for them to download and such

This chess app features gorgeous 3D graphics and smooth game play. The app has been updated, fixing the issue about pieces not downloading. It works great now, so I went ahead and purchased the whole package. This is a wonderful, full-featured chess app. Thus far Ive only played at the "monkey" and "novice" levels, which are, of course, very easy, so I cant yet comment on the computers intelligence. In any event, this is just what I was looking for in a chess app. My favorite so far.

Only complaint is that most of the environments make the board appear too dark, even with brightness at max.

Best Chess Game I ever played

This is a very beautiful cheers app. I really enjoyed playing every day, the music is very nice and the graphics are outstanding. The only problem comes when you use tall pieces to play with... the standard camera angle view cut the top of all the main pieces on the opponent side, making it difficult to distinguish the king from the queen or the rook from the bishop, this happens mainly when you choose a set with tall pieces
